Ending Lies to Empowering Lives
"Ending Lies" means confronting the lies that keep people trapped—the lies we tell ourselves, the lies others tell us, and the lies society tells about survivors, including harmful stereotypes about what survivors "look like" or who can be victimized.
"Empowering Lives" is what follows once those lies are dismantled: healing, hope, restoration, and the opportunity for survivors to move beyond surviving and into thriving.
Our story
JABEL was born from a simple but powerful belief: every survivor deserves to be seen, believed, and empowered to thrive.
Too often, survivors carry more than the weight of what happened to them. They carry the lies that trauma leaves behind—the lies that tell them they are powerless, unworthy, alone, or beyond hope. They also face the lies society continues to believe: that survivors look a certain way, come from a certain background, or should have "just left."
These misconceptions keep countless individuals from seeking help and prevent communities from recognizing exploitation when it is happening in front of them.
JABEL was founded to challenge those lies.
Our name—Justice Advocates Battling Exploitation & Lies—reflects our commitment to confronting exploitation in all its forms while walking alongside survivors with compassion, advocacy, and practical support.
But our mission extends beyond crisis response.
We believe lasting change happens when communities are educated, systems work together, and survivors are empowered not only to survive—but to THRIVE.

- The lies others tell us through manipulation, coercion, and abuse.
- The lies society believes about survivors, exploitation, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
When those lies are replaced with truth, healing begins.
Empowering lives is what comes next.
It means restoring hope, rebuilding confidence, connecting survivors with the resources they need, and helping individuals reclaim their voices, their futures, and their purpose. It means moving beyond survival into lasting healing and thriving.
Today, JABEL serves individuals and families impacted by human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault through survivor advocacy, crisis intervention, prevention education, community partnerships, and long-term support.
Every person has a story.
